Hello, Radiants! Happy Thanksgiving to those of you in the US! As our team gets ready to spend a couple of days with our families, we're feeling very thankful for everyone who has supported this project through its ups and downs over the past year. Today we'll share the latest fulfillment updates and some fun content links to enjoy over the holiday weekend. 

Fulfillment Update

As we reach the end of Wave 1.0 fulfillment for the US, many regions are now kicking off Wave 1.1 fulfillment. Wave 1.1 shipments include replacement part requests, late survey orders, and lost packages. If you have emailed our support team and we have indicated that you’re part of Wave 1.1 fulfillment, we do not need any more information from you at this time. 

If the update below indicates you should have already received your order, or if you believe you should be included in Wave 1.1 shipping, please use our contact form to get in touch with our support team.

USA

As we shared in our last update, the final 4% of fulfillment for the US has been very challenging. We're down to the final 1%, but with the Thanksgiving holiday some orders will not ship until the beginning of next week. Johnny just wrote a detailed post on r/CosmereRPG, which includes an explanation along with our sincere apologies.

In the US, Wave 1.1 fulfillment will be close behind, beginning on December 2nd. It will be a rolling process as new orders come in and get handled on a first-in, first-out basis, and will continue over the next 2 months.

Canada

In Canada, we’ve completed wave 1.0 and wave 1.1 shipping. This region is complete until Wave 2 shipping starts in Q3 2026! (If you’re a Canadian backer with questions, please use our contact form for support.)

Australia/New Zealand

Wave 1.0 is complete. Any split orders for figurines and holofoils will arrive locally on December 2nd and be shipped out ASAP. If you have any questions about your order, please use our contact form.

UK & EU

Gamesquest EU and UK have completed Wave 1.0 shipping. They have now begun Wave 1.1 shipping. As in all zones, wave 1.1 will begin with a period of stock consolidation and order preparation before kicking off in earnest towards the middle of December.

LATAM

All Wave 1.0 LATAM shipments have been dispatched from our fulfillment partner at QML. We are aware that Brazilian customs are rejecting some packages for our backers, if you have this issue, please contact our fulfillment partners at QML as soon as you can.

Please contact support if you haven’t received your order and/or haven’t received tracking.

Asia/Rest of World

We are seeing progress from VFI via their hub tracker with estimated arrival dates for most countries. As mentioned in Johnny's Reddit post, Kickstarter shipments to Asia and the Middle East always face incredibly high costs and/or timelines. We are pleased to see progress, and will not allow retail release in any region where VFI is still fulfilling.

Learn to Play the Cosmere RPG

We worked with the team over at Dragonsteel to produce an introductory video series for the Cosmere RPG! Let’s Play the Cosmere RPG is a playlist on YouTube featuring Cosmere RPG Creative Director Johnny O’Neal and Lead Designer Lydia Suen guiding you through the core mechanisms of the system!

Echoes of the Father One-Shot

On November 14th, the official actual play for the Stormlight Campaign Setting premiered on Brandon’s YouTube channel! This is an epic one-shot featuring an all-star cast: Jasper Cartwright (Dimension 20, NADDpod) as the Game Master, starring Abubakar Salim (House of the Dragon, Raised by Wolves), Jacqueline Emerson (The Hunger Games), Jane Douglas (Oxenventure), and Mark/Mara Hulmes (High Rollers, Critical Role).

While Echoes of the Father tells a standalone story, there’s room to expand it in the future! 

Miniature Painting Guides

We’ve seen quite a few requests come in asking about official painting guides for the Cosmere RPG Miniatures! Well, look no further, Lightweavers. We’ve uploaded all of our painting guides from the Stormlight Premium Miniatures campaign and added in a new character guide for the RPG miniatures over at cosmererpg.com/cosmere-rpg-miniatures

Dragonsteel Nexus

Next week, we'll be heading to Salt Lake City to exhibit at Dragonsteel Nexus! Our booth will be in the same location as last year (right next to the Gaming Hall), and we can’t wait to see you there. Make sure to stop by our booth to say hi, and better yet, don't miss out on our panels!

• New Cosmere Art: Johnny will join the Dragonsteel art team onstage to reveal new illustrations from upcoming games and books! 
• Stormlight Epic: Sponsored by Kickstarter, this epic 400-player game will feature an all new Stormlight adventure set a thousand years in the past: Heroes of the Lost Desolation. (Sign-ups are full, but drop-ins are welcome to fill in for anyone who doesn't show up!)
• Cosmere Gaming: Our biggest event, the "State of Games in the Cosmere" panel, will share sneak peeks at our future releases. In addition to a ton of info on the Mistborn Campaign Setting, we'll share new details about board games like Well of Ascension, Shards of Creation, and Stormlight: War for Roshar!
• RPG Playthrough: Come watch a live play of Cosmere RPG team members playing with Mistborn characters for the first time! Join the audience to see new mechanics in action, and a sneak peek at one of the Era 2 chapters of Mistborn Legacy.

None of these sessions are planned to be recorded or streamed, but for those who can’t make it to the con, we will post recap videos on YouTube!

The Brotherwise team will be taking this Thursday off to celebrate the holiday with our families, and some of us will also be out on Friday. Finalizing Fulfillment and Readying for Retail

Hello, Radiants! In the two weeks since our last update, our fulfillment partners around the world have made significant progress on Wave 1 shipping. While that process has been slower than we’d like, the end is in sight. In today’s update, we have fulfillment updates for each region, news about the US retail release, and a very cool trailer to share.

Fulfillment Update

Many regions are finishing up Wave 1.0 shipping this week and moving on to the Wave 1.1 process for late surveys, replacement part requests, and lost orders in the coming weeks. Please read your region’s update for further details below. 

If the update below indicates you should have already received your order, or if you have replacement requests, please use our contact form to get in touch with our support team.

USA

In our first fulfillment update, we said that US fulfillment would take “as long as 10 weeks.” At the time, we felt that was a conservative estimate, but we’re now entering our 11th week. 

The good news is that 96% of US orders have been delivered or shipped out, and in spite of some unforeseen challenges, the remaining orders are underway. Just before sending this update we emailed everyone in that 4%, so if you weren’t included on that email and you’re still waiting on your order, please check your spam folder or contact us.

We’ll spend the week ahead focused on resolving any issues with the remainder of wave 1.0, and then we’ll turn our attention to wave 1.1 (which includes late surveys, replacement part requests, and lost orders).

Canada

In Canada, we’ve completed wave 1.0 and wave 1.1 shipping. This region is complete until Wave 2 shipping starts in Q3 2026! (If you’re a Canadian backer with questions, please use our contact form for support.)

Australia/New Zealand

Wave 1.0 is complete. Any split orders for figurines and holofoils will arrive on December 2nd and be shipped out ASAP.

UK & EU

EU orders continue to go out the door, and the team is working hard this week to complete this massive fulfillment project. We expect all EU orders to be dispatched by this Thursday, November 13.

The majority of UK orders have been shipped, but a portion of shipments have been split as the UK hub is awaiting additional stock to complete the last remaining orders. There will be no upcharge for splitting orders; Brotherwise is covering this unexpected expense. 

Once these orders are complete, Gamesquest UK will begin Wave 1.1 shipping for lost orders, replacement requests, and late surveys. We anticipate Wave 1.1 beginning in 2 weeks.

LATAM

All Wave 1.0 LATAM shipments have been dispatched from our fulfillment partner at QML. If you are a Latin American backer and haven’t received your order yet, it should be in the carrier’s hands and on its way. Please contact support if you haven’t received it by the end of next week.

Asia/Rest of World

We are seeing progress from VFI via their hub tracker with estimated arrival dates for most countries. These are later than we'd like, but we're glad that things are moving. As we head into the end of this year, we will push VFI for more updates on the regions still in consolidation.

Retail Release

While our first priority has always been to the backers of this Kickstarter, a strong retail launch is also crucial to the long-term success of this RPG. If these books sell well at bookstores and friendly local game stores, we’ll be able to make new adventures and sourcebooks for years to come.

In the US, retail editions of the books will start appearing on shelves as early as tomorrow, November 12. It will primarily be available at bookstores like Barnes & Noble (which had to be shipped out weeks ago, before the unexpected issues that slowed down our final weeks of fulfillment). Local game stores will begin receiving stock toward the end of this week or beginning of next.

Please note that retailers will primarily have access to the three core hardcover books and basic dice. The Kickstarter edition slipcases, and most of the accessories from higher pledge levels, are currently only available to backers (or from brick-and-mortar retailers who backed at the “Retailer Pledge” level). Providing stock for retailers was not a factor in our fulfillment delays.

In Spain, the localized edition of the RPG is planned for a retail release during December, with more details forthcoming. In the UK and EU, English-language books will begin to appear at retail soon, and we’ll have news about other localized versions in future updates.

Echoes of the Father Trailer

Halloween Adventure, Fan Content, and More!

Hello, Radiants! Happy Thursday and Happy (almost) Halloween! We have a fun update for you all today, featuring a spooky single-session adventure. We also have a short update for each region below as we head into Hallo-weekend.

Stormshelter – A Murder Mystery Scenario!

As a highstorm rages outside, the characters are sealed into a shelter with a group of brightladies and brightlords. Little do they know, this sealed bunker is also the scene of a MURDER. With the resident brightlady's trusty servant in tow, the characters must interview the suspects, investigate the scene, and search the shelter before the murderer strikes again. Who or what is lurking in the Stormshelter?

This short adventure for Tier 2 characters was written by Meric Moir, Lead Writer for the Cosmere RPG and Director of the forthcoming Plotweaver RPG. Stormshelter can be dropped into an ongoing campaign or used as a Halloween one-shot to add a little murder and mystery to your Stormlight campaign. Click here to download this haunting one-shot!

Fan Content Template

Fulfillment Update

We’ve now completed 8 weeks of fulfillment for Wave 1 of the Cosmere RPG Kickstarter campaign! With about two weeks left of our 10-week estimate, over 50,000 backers have received their Stormlight rewards and add-ons, and we couldn’t be more excited to see all the products in the wild. Please continue to tag us in your unboxings and photos of the products—we love seeing them!

USA

Fulfillment in the US is a huge job, but wave 1.0 is on schedule to be complete by our November 12 retail launch. If you’re still awaiting fulfillment, you may receive a tracking email from Dragonsteel or Brotherwise, as our customer service teams are both working on this final push. 

Right now, as shown on the tracker at BrandonSanderson.com, US fulfillment is 88% complete. We are so close to the finish line, and we are doing everything in our power to ensure US backers will have their orders within the next two weeks. With this being our largest fulfillment zone by far, we appreciate everyone’s patience as we head toward the end of this fulfillment period.

Canada

Wave 1.0 shipments are complete, and Pick & Pack is now processing Wave 1.1 shipments for late surveys and replacement parts. Please reach out to our support team for any questions about your order.

Australia/New Zealand

VR Distribution has shipped all Cosmere RPG products! They have received the shipment of Mistborn: The Deckbuilding Game and will continue with split shipments. Please reach out to our support team for any questions about your order.

UK & EU

We are happy to announce that fulfillment for the UK is nearly complete! GamesQuest is processing the last few Wave 1.0 orders and will soon move to Wave 1.1 for shipping, which includes late surveys, replacement parts, lost orders, and split orders. If you have any questions about your order, please contact our support team.

EU fulfillment is still underway, and GamesQuest continues to make great progress. All EU orders are scheduled to be dispatched by November 12th.

LATAM

All LATAM shipments are out the door! For any questions about your order, please contact QML.

Asia/Rest of World

VFI has added the Cosmere RPG to their hub tracker, so following the hub status is the best way to stay up to date for your region. We’re seeing signs of progress in the hub tracker, and hearing assurances of forward momentum when we contact VFI directly. We will keep backers posted on progress as we learn more.

Replacement Requests and Lost Orders

Replacement requests and lost orders are the focus of Wave 1.1 shipping. As previously mentioned, Wave 1.1 will start in each shipping region after Wave 1.0 and our initial fulfillment are completed. If the last-mile carrier has lost or misdelivered your package, please submit a claim with them. After receiving confirmation from the carrier, you can contact us here, and we will assist in resolving the issue.

Cosmere RPG Foundry v13 Update

Great news! All Cosmere RPG Foundry modules are now v13 compatible. While functionality-wise nothing has changed, this update was a massive undertaking under the hood for the Metalworks Dev team. We are incredibly grateful for their efforts in making the VTT experience for the Cosmere RPG on Foundry as awesome as possible.

Due to the changes the dev team had to make, everything from version 2.0.0 onwards will no longer be compatible with Foundry v12 and will only be compatible with v13. With this release, all of the premium modules have been updated for v13, so be sure to grab the free updates for any modules you own!

If you are currently running a game in Foundry v12, we highly advise making a backup of the world and any modules you may be using using Foundry’s built-in backup/snapshot manager before you upgrade. While we do not expect any issues with games in progress, it's better to be safe than sorry.

With around 60,000 backers for this campaign, we have averaged more 6,000 RPG orders going out each single week since shipping began in early September. Fulfillment Update and How to Play Videos

Hello, Radiants! Fulfillment continues for the Cosmere RPG, and we’ve been loving the photos, unboxing videos, and overall excitement we’ve seen since backers have been receiving their pledges. Today, we’ll share the latest on fulfillment and some fun videos of our own!

Fulfillment Update

When we started fulfillment in September, we provided an estimate of 10 weeks to pick, pack, and ship everything out to backers. We’ve now completed 7 weeks of fulfillment, and we’re very close to that original schedule. Of course, we know that doesn't make the wait any easier for those who are still waiting, and we appreciate your patience. Here’s a progress update for each region:

USA

Fulfillment in the US, which is managed by Dragonsteel, continues to remain steady. Right now, we’re showing 82% complete on the progress tracker here, which means we’re in the final stages of Wave 1.0 fulfillment for the US! 

To expedite overall fulfillment, we’re splitting some large orders into two deliveries. If you receive a partial shipment, that’s not usually cause for concern. We encourage you to follow up with Dragonsteel Support if the balance of your order has not arrived when we reach 100% complete on fulfillment.

Canada

Wave 1.0 shipments are complete, and Pick & Pack is now consolidating stock for Wave 1.1, which includes late surveys and replacements. If you haven’t received tracking for your initial order, please reach out to [email protected] for assistance.

Australia/New Zealand

VR Distribution is expected to ship all Cosmere RPG books by the end of this month. VR is still awaiting a shipment of additional items – primarily miniatures and the Mistborn Deckbuilding Game – but we didn’t want to delay the core RPG books. As we noted in our last update, Brotherwise is covering the unexpected expense of splitting shipments.

UK & EU

UK shipments are on track to be completed by the end of this month.  EU fulfillment has begun, with shipping now well underway in Spain. Gamesquest expects to have all EU shipments complete within the next 3-4 weeks.

If you have any troubleshooting questions about UK or EU orders, please reach out to Gamesquest Backer Support. However, we ask that you hold off on shipment status requests until fulfillment is complete.

LATAM

After an initial freight delay, and CPF and RFC verifications, fulfillment is beginning this week. We’ll keep you updated, but expect fulfillment to be complete within 4 weeks. For customer service and outreach please contact Quartermaster Logistics. 

Asia/Rest of World

VFI has added the Cosmere RPG to their hub tracker, listing it as “in consolidation.” This means VFI is combining products with other crowdfunding projects shipping to those regions. We’ve sent them all required stock and have prepaid all shipping costs. We’re concerned that this timeline is looking longer than other regions, and have asked VFI to prioritize this project. We will keep backers posted on progress.

All-Star Actual Play

With the US retail release coming in November, we’re gearing up for an exciting launch. During Gen Con, we announced an actual play featuring Jasper Cartwright (Dimension 20, Dark Dice, NADDpod) as the GM for a party starring Abubakar Salim (House of the Dragon, Raised by Wolves) as the heir to Highprince Roion!

Hello, Radiants! It’s time for another Cosmere RPG update, with a focus on fulfillment but a look ahead to what’s next. The teams at Dragonsteel and Brotherwise are working hard to deliver your Stormlight rewards while paving the way for Mistborn and beyond. We’re also getting ready to reach a whole new audience of Cosmere fans with our retail release!

Fulfillment Update

USA

Fulfillment in the US continues to remain steady! Right now, Dragonsteel is showing 65% complete on their progress tracker here, which means we’re through the halfway mark but a meaningful number of pledges are still underway. We’re still on track to finish fulfillment for the US by the end of this month, as originally promised.

We know it can be hard to wait for your order! As a reminder, troubleshooting questions can be directed to Dragonsteel Support, but we ask that you avoid shipment status requests until fulfillment is complete.

Canada

Great news! Pick & Pack confirmed that all Wave 1 shipments are complete! They will now begin replacement requests and late survey orders. If you have not received tracking for your initial order, please reach out to [email protected] for assistance.

Australia/New Zealand

We’re working with VR Distribution to ship all Cosmere RPG books within the next two weeks. VR is still awaiting a shipment of additional items – primarily miniatures and the Mistborn Deckbuilding Game – but we didn’t want to delay the core RPG books. There will be no upcharge for splitting orders; Brotherwise is covering this unexpected expense. For those of you awaiting those additional items, we appreciate your patience and understanding! 

UK & EU

UK shipments are 60% complete and continue to go out the door. EU fulfillment is beginning, with the first shipments headed to Spain.

Shipments are approved and on track to begin today!

Retail Release

With fulfillment ongoing in each region and some regions heading toward the end of fulfillment, we’re setting our sights on the retail release of the Cosmere RPG! 

Our original Stormlight retail release date in the US was set for October 29th, but we’ve pushed the release date back two weeks to November 12th. The date will be later in some regions, but around the world it’s our policy to hold the retail release until after backers in that country have their rewards.

So why the delay when fulfillment is on schedule? We want the retail release to be as strong as possible in order to set up the long-term success of the Cosmere RPG. Retailer orders have been even higher than we anticipated, and to ensure we have enough stock for mass market and hobby retailers, we pushed back the release date to make time for an additional print run!

Digital Updates

All Wave 1 PDFs have been distributed to our backers, but there’s always another secret... Just last week, we updated our official CosmereRPG.com with a new free resource to help players who are creating their first Stormlight characters!

Quick Start Characters

The Cosmere RPG offers deeply customizable character creation, but sometimes you just want to roll some dice and jump straight into the game. That’s why we’ve created the Stormlight Quick Start Characters. Visit our Downloads page to find a ZIP file containing 20 ready-to-play level 1 characters! Open the “Introduction” PDF to choose a character path that sounds compelling. The introduction PDF also includes tables to randomly generate your Path, Name, Purpose, Obstacle, and starting Goal with a few d20 rolls.

Spanish PDFs

Our partners at Devir have sent us updated Spanish PDFs of the core sourcebooks, Bridge Nine adventure, and GM screen. The revised books now include their covers, the GM screen is easier to print, and the materials have been updated to incorporate errata. As mentioned in our previous update, we’re also working with Devir to get Spanish versions of Advanced Adversaries and Stormlight Scenarios sent your way. You should have an English version in your downloads for now, but we’ll send an update once we send out the Spanish versions.

If you selected Spanish as your language for PDFs, you can now check your BackerKit downloads for the updated Spanish PDFs.
