Mistborn Add-Ons and Pre-Orders Open!

Hello, Worldhoppers! Today is a big day. In our last update, we announced that Mistborn pre-orders open today! 

In this update, we'll go over the process of re-opening the pledge manager and how to pre-order or add Mistborn items to your existing order! It is important to note that we worked directly with BackerKit to reopen the pledge manager, as this is not typically done in the crowdfunding space. If you have any questions about the process, please fully read the update below!

Pledge Manager & Pre-Order Process

The reopening is being manually launched by our team. As with any pledge manager process, access may roll out over a short period of time. Please read the information below carefully to understand how this works:

How will I know when the pledge manager reopens?
Some backers will receive an email from BackerKit once access is enabled, but this may not occur for everyone. If you don’t receive an email, don't worry! You’ll still be able to access the pledge manager using your original BackerKit login email here:

Can I add Mistborn items to my existing order?
Yes. Any backers whose orders included Wave 2 items will be able to return to BackerKit and add Mistborn items, including any of the new books and the newly added Mistborn Deluxe Metal Dice and Mistborn GM Screen. These will be added as a new shipment for your existing order.

What if I didn’t previously order any Mistborn products?
For backers who only bought Stormlight items and did NOT get any Mistborn books in their original pledge, you can place a new order via the BackerKit Pre-Order store. Your Stormlight order will be marked as closed, and this will be treated as a new order.

How do I update my shipping address?
If you're a Wave 1 & 2 backer with your survey access reopened, you’ll be able to review and update your shipping address directly in BackerKit before completing your order. If your survey is not immediately available, please check back later; access will roll out in stages today.

Please note that this reopening applies only to Mistborn Campaign Setting products. The Stormlight Archive RPG items are not part of this reopening. They're now available through Dragonsteel and local stores!

What's Available?

The Pledge Manager and Pre-order store will have the Mistborn Campaign Setting items and Mistborn Deckbuilding Game items, You can order the three hardcovers, Welcome to Scadrial, Mistborn Deluxe Metal Dice, and the Mistborn GM Screen!

Please note that if you order the Mistborn Deckbuilding Game and/or the Deluxe Enamel Tokens, they will be shipped in Wave 2 fulfillment starting in September. (We recommend US backers order these items from Dragonsteel instead.)

What's Next?

As we described in last week's update, we're still working to complete Wave 1.1 (lost orders, missing slipcases, replacement requests, and late surveys) and awaiting VFI's completion of international Wave 1 orders. Those efforts are still our team's top priority, but we're taking these pre-orders this month to ensure we have the correct counts before we head into production!

We hope you're excited for these new items, whether you're adding Mistborn books for the first time or adding on the two new accessories. This Kickstarter campaign has paved the way for years of Cosmere RPG releases, and we think you'll be delighted by everything we have in store for Mistborn and beyond! 

Mistborn Pre-Orders, Wave 1.1, and more!

Hello, Radiants! Or should we start calling you Mistings, Scadrians... or Worldhoppers? 👀

The Brotherwise team has been busy since the beginning of the New Year with Mistborn pre-production prep! Since our last update, a lot has happened behind the scenes that we are super excited to share, so let's dive in!

Mistborn Pre-orders Open on February 2

We are reopening the pledge manager and pre-order store from February 2 to February 28 for Mistborn Campaign Setting products only. 

This means you'll have the option to update your order to include Mistborn add-ons and change your address if needed. If your original pledge didn't include the Mistborn books, this is a chance to get them! And we have two new add-ons to share... 

The Mistborn Metal Dice Set includes 8 dice based on the basic Allomantic metals! The highest face on each die has been replaced by the symbol for that metal. They're even subtly themed to represent which metals are "pushing" and "pulling." All 8 dice will come in a deluxe magnetic-clasp storage box.

In addition to the three Mistborn hardcover books and Welcome to Scadrial, we'll also be offering a Mistborn GM Screen. Other Mistborn accessories, like Plot Decks and Item Cards, are in the works but will be direct-to-retail releases. One of our goals for 2026 is to reduce fulfillment complexity to improve our turnaround times.

Pledge Manager & Pre-Order FAQ

We've already heard quite a few questions about the store reopening. If you're wondering how to navigate the pledge manager, you can read Update #24. Otherwise, here are some common questions below:

How do I get the Mistborn slipcase?
To get the slipcase, you must have all 3 Mistborn sourcebooks in your order. This includes the Mistborn Handbook, Mistborn World Guide, and Mistborn Legacy Adventure. You will receive the slipcase if you backed at the GM or Collector tiers, or if you added the Scadrial Pack to your order.

Will I have to pay extra for shipping if I add items to my order?
Yes, you will have to pay additional shipping for your order if you add on more products.

Will the prices be the same as they were during the Kickstarter, or will we be paying retail prices?
Since this is a pre-order, you'll be paying below the retail price! The Mistborn Handbook and World Guide will be $50 each, and Mistborn Legacy will be $35. The Scadrial Pack is $120. The prices for Metal Dice ($45) and the GM Screen ($10) will also match the corresponding Stormlight items.

What if I don't want to add anything on?
Then you're all set! You don't have to do anything else. However, if you need to change your shipping address, now is the time to do so.

Mistborn Campaign Setting Progress Update

With 2026 well underway, the RPG team has been working hard to finalize the core Mistborn sourcebooks! At this point, the Mistborn Handbook is off to the printer! The Mistborn World Guide is fully Dragonsteel-approved and headed to the printer next week. Mistborn Legacy is in layout and wrapping up art. Here's a message from Johnny, our Creative Director:

"It's amazing to see how the team has taken everything great about the Cosmere RPG and just brought it to the next level for the Mistborn Campaign Setting. If you liked the ten Surges in Stormlight, I think you'll be pretty psyched about the thirty-four Metallic Arts covered in Mistborn. If you thought the Stormlight Handbook was rich and full of lore, now you have a book that spans two eras! And Mistborn Legacy is an even richer, more ambitious adventure that tells two interconnected stories over nine chapters. This isn't just a great RPG for Cosmere fans. I think Lydia, Lyla, Meric and their team have created one of the best tabletop RPGs ever made."

PDF and Fulfillment Timeline

We've been asked by folks excited about when the Mistborn PDFs will be released in relation to backer fulfillment. We expect to release the PDFs right as fulfillment begins. Fulfillment is still on track for September, but we'll keep you updated as we approach that date.

Wave 1.1 Fulfillment Update

Wave 1.1 is underway for lost orders, missing slipcases, replacement requests, late surveys, and other orders with issues. We are about 70% through Wave 1.1, and 40% of slipcases have been sent to our final percentage of backers. The team has all requests for Wave 1.1, so there is no need to follow up; our partners are working around the clock to continue to submit and pack up orders across the globe to ensure Wave 1.1 wraps up sooner rather than later.

Asia & RoW Backers

We've been pressing VFI weekly on Asia and RoW fulfillment progress. At this stage, most regions shipped through VFI are complete or in the last stages of fulfillment. If you need further information on your order or need anything replaced, please submit a ticket with our customer service team, but be assured, we are staying on top of VFI until we know all orders are fulfilled.

New Cosmere RPG STLs on MyMiniFactory

We're excited to announce the launch of a major new initiative on MyMiniFactory! Since December, we've been releasing new miniature STLs every month.

Now we're officially launching a Tribe on MMF! For just $5 a month, you'll receive monthly STL and stat block releases. This month’s release features a deadly adversary from the Stormlight World Guide, the Flowing One. Tribe members will receive our free Welcome Pack, featuring a short combat scenario, The Coming Storm. The Welcome Pack also contains STL files for the Heavenly One and the Stormlight Handbook's iconic Windunner! While the Tribe is the best value for all of these, you can also skip the subscription and purchase any of them as individual files.

Tribe members will be the first to receive any new stat blocks or scenarios tied to our STL files and characters. But MyMiniFactory is just one element of our overall plan to create regular updates for the Cosmere RPG! Any stat blocks that debut on MyMiniFactory will then be released for free on cosmererpg.com/downloads at the end of the year. Models that debut as STLs will be available as physical miniatures in the future. And we'll feature much more miniature-related goodness during this year's War for Roshar Kickstarter campaign!

Surprise! A New Holiday Scenario

Happy Holidays, Worldhoppers! In our last update, we mentioned that we would be going back to monthly updates starting in January, and while that is true, we couldn’t let the year end without sharing one more stocking stuffer…

The Fused Who Devastated

In Iri, the people would gather each year,
For colors and costumes and Vaporlight cheer!
They twirled by the falls as the vaporspren gleamed,
They all were united. At least so it seemed...

For Grincil the Fused took exception to this.
He frowned at their joy and he sneered at their bliss.
“Why should they gather?” he snarled from his lair,
“And who says that I don't deserve to be there?”

Vaporlight Festival in Rall Elorim is coming soon, and everyone is preparing for the celebration. The royal council sees this as an opportunity for singers, humans, and Fused to create bonds and step forward together into a new world. Unfortunately, one disgruntled Fused is tired of the NOISE. He’s tired of the FEASTS. He’s miserable, and this Fused—Grincil—has hatched a plot. He’ll steal all the vaporspren costumes to make sure the festival can’t happen. The characters are charged to find Grincil and either lift his spirits or get him out of the way.

This short adventure was written by Meric Moir, Lead Writer for the Cosmere RPG and Director for the forthcoming Plotweaver RPG! It features delightful illustrations by our favorite Cosmere artist, Marie "Lamaery" Seeberger. 

The Fused Who Devastated can be added to the final chapter of Stonewalkers, dropped into an ongoing homebrew campaign, or used as a heartwarming holiday one-shot. Click here to download it! DSNX ‘25 Recap and Future of the Cosmere RPG!

Hello, Radiants! Happy December and Happy Holidays. The Brotherwise Games team just got back from an amazing week at Dragonsteel Nexus, where we shared gaming news, played the RPG live on stage, met some awesome fans, and more!

We always have a wonderful time at Dragonsteel Nexus, and this year was the best yet. In today's update, we’ll recap some of our favorite moments from the con! But first, we have one more fulfillment update for Wave 1 shipping:

Fulfillment Update

We are thrilled to announce that Wave 1.0 fulfillment is complete for the majority of regions. After weeks of challenging delays, the last 0.1% of US orders shipped out last Tuesday. We're now down to one region where Wave 1.0 fulfillment is still underway.

Asia/Rest of World

We are seeing progress from VFI via their hub tracker with estimated arrival dates for most countries. Asian and Rest of World shipments always takes longer than our other zones, but we’re pleased to see that most zones are well underway and some are already completed. We appreciate backers from these regions for being patient with us as we navigate shipping to these areas. We will take what we learned from Wave 1 shipping for Asia/RoW and apply it to Wave 2. Once we get closer to Wave 2 shipping, we’ll set out a realistic timeline for backers in these regions based on information from our fulfillment partner.

Wave 1.1

Our fulfillment partners are now working on Wave 1.1 fulfillment for lost orders, replacement requests, late surveys, and other orders with issues. We are expecting this process to take up to two months due to the scale of the campaign and the holiday season, so we appreciate your patience while we resolve these issues! In the meantime, we're happy to report that Canada has already completed Wave 1.1 fulfillment!

Dragonsteel Nexus ‘25

First, thank you to all fans of the Cosmere RPG who visited our booth and participated in events throughout DSNX! This is one of our favorite conventions to attend because we love being amongst such an awesome fandom. We debuted the Stormlight Starter Set, Mistborn Enamel Tokens, and more at our booth. We also had quite a few panels and events throughout the convention that we are excited to recap! So, let’s get into it:

State of Games in the Cosmere Panel & Mistborn RPG Liveplay

Saturday during DSNX, the Brotherwise team had our annual “State of Games in the Cosmere Panel!” We were excited for this panel because we had quite a lot of news to share, and it turns out you all were excited too because the room was PACKED! During this panel, we had updates on Shards of Creation, Mistborn: The Deckbuilding Game, War for Roshar, the Mistborn Campaign Setting, and Plotweaver! We've condensed the 90-minute panel into a 10-minute recap here:

We also had an incredible Saturday night as the RPG team did a live playthrough of chapter 7 from the Mistborn Legacy Adventure with Meric Moir as the GM! During this playthrough, the audience voted every 20 minutes for Preservation or Ruin:

Unfortunately, this live play wasn't recorded, but it was memorable for everyone who attended! And who knows? Perhaps Karl the Koloss will make an appearance in the future...

Heroes of the Lost Desolation 400-Player Epic

Friday night at Dragonsteel Nexus was truly epic. Our friends at We Geek Together hosted a 400-player epic game of the Cosmere RPG sponsored by Kickstarter! This event featured more than 70 GMs and Captains guiding their players through various scenarios throughout three acts, with the last act being the deadliest: defeating three Thunderclasts, each with 12,000 HP. 

We owe a huge thank you to We Geek Together for organizing this event and to Kickstarter for sponsoring it with goodies! This game was truly amazing, and you shouldn't miss this exciting recap over on YouTube:

New Miniatures

During the Art in the Cosmere panel, Johnny revealed that starting in 2026, we will have monthly new STL uploads to My Mini Factory thanks to our new partnership with DM Stash! But…we couldn’t resist dropping our first STL pack with this Lightweaver & Warform Duo during the convention! If you have a 3D printer, this new STL pack is a must-have!

What an amazing convention. It was incredibly gratifying to meet so many backers in person, whether it was to autograph the RPG books, apologize to folks in the "Bridge 4%" crew, or hear stories about players' campaigns. The energy and excitement at this convention was a great energy boost as our team heads back to working around the clock to finalize the Mistborn campaign setting books.

A Cornucopia of Cosmere Content

Hello, Radiants! Happy Thanksgiving to those of you in the US! As our team gets ready to spend a couple of days with our families, we're feeling very thankful for everyone who has supported this project through its ups and downs over the past year. Today we'll share the latest fulfillment updates and some fun content links to enjoy over the holiday weekend. 

Fulfillment Update

As we reach the end of Wave 1.0 fulfillment for the US, many regions are now kicking off Wave 1.1 fulfillment. Wave 1.1 shipments include replacement part requests, late survey orders, and lost packages. If you have emailed our support team and we have indicated that you’re part of Wave 1.1 fulfillment, we do not need any more information from you at this time. 

If the update below indicates you should have already received your order, or if you believe you should be included in Wave 1.1 shipping, please use our contact form to get in touch with our support team.

USA

As we shared in our last update, the final 4% of fulfillment for the US has been very challenging. We're down to the final 1%, but with the Thanksgiving holiday some orders will not ship until the beginning of next week. Johnny just wrote a detailed post on r/CosmereRPG, which includes an explanation along with our sincere apologies.

In the US, Wave 1.1 fulfillment will be close behind, beginning on December 2nd. It will be a rolling process as new orders come in and get handled on a first-in, first-out basis, and will continue over the next 2 months.

Canada

In Canada, we’ve completed wave 1.0 and wave 1.1 shipping. This region is complete until Wave 2 shipping starts in Q3 2026! (If you’re a Canadian backer with questions, please use our contact form for support.)

Australia/New Zealand

Wave 1.0 is complete. Any split orders for figurines and holofoils will arrive locally on December 2nd and be shipped out ASAP. If you have any questions about your order, please use our contact form.

UK & EU

Gamesquest EU and UK have completed Wave 1.0 shipping. They have now begun Wave 1.1 shipping. As in all zones, wave 1.1 will begin with a period of stock consolidation and order preparation before kicking off in earnest towards the middle of December.

LATAM

All Wave 1.0 LATAM shipments have been dispatched from our fulfillment partner at QML. We are aware that Brazilian customs are rejecting some packages for our backers, if you have this issue, please contact our fulfillment partners at QML as soon as you can.

Please contact support if you haven’t received your order and/or haven’t received tracking.

Asia/Rest of World

We are seeing progress from VFI via their hub tracker with estimated arrival dates for most countries. As mentioned in Johnny's Reddit post, Kickstarter shipments to Asia and the Middle East always face incredibly high costs and/or timelines. We are pleased to see progress, and will not allow retail release in any region where VFI is still fulfilling.

We worked with the team over at Dragonsteel to produce an introductory video series for the Cosmere RPG! Let’s Play the Cosmere RPG is a playlist on YouTube featuring Cosmere RPG Creative Director Johnny O’Neal and Lead Designer Lydia Suen guiding you through the core mechanisms of the system!

This playlist is perfect for newbies to the TTRPG space who want to learn more about roleplaying, AND for TTRPG veterans who wish to learn a new system. Grab your Cosmere RPG books and head on over to YouTube now to follow along!

Echoes of the Father One-Shot

On November 14th, the official actual play for the Stormlight Campaign Setting premiered on Brandon’s YouTube channel! This is an epic one-shot featuring an all-star cast: Jasper Cartwright (Dimension 20, NADDpod) as the Game Master, starring Abubakar Salim (House of the Dragon, Raised by Wolves), Jacqueline Emerson (The Hunger Games), Jane Douglas (Oxenventure), and Mark/Mara Hulmes (High Rollers, Critical Role).

While Echoes of the Father tells a standalone story, there’s room to expand it in the future! 

Miniature Painting Guides

We’ve seen quite a few requests come in asking about official painting guides for the Cosmere RPG Miniatures! Well, look no further, Lightweavers. We’ve uploaded all of our painting guides from the Stormlight Premium Miniatures campaign and added in a new character guide for the RPG miniatures over at cosmererpg.com/cosmere-rpg-miniatures

Dragonsteel Nexus

Next week, we'll be heading to Salt Lake City to exhibit at Dragonsteel Nexus! Our booth will be in the same location as last year (right next to the Gaming Hall), and we can’t wait to see you there. Make sure to stop by our booth to say hi, and better yet, don't miss out on our panels!

• New Cosmere Art: Johnny will join the Dragonsteel art team onstage to reveal new illustrations from upcoming games and books! 
• Stormlight Epic: Sponsored by Kickstarter, this epic 400-player game will feature an all new Stormlight adventure set a thousand years in the past: Heroes of the Lost Desolation. (Sign-ups are full, but drop-ins are welcome to fill in for anyone who doesn't show up!)
• Cosmere Gaming: Our biggest event, the "State of Games in the Cosmere" panel, will share sneak peeks at our future releases. In addition to a ton of info on the Mistborn Campaign Setting, we'll share new details about board games like Well of Ascension, Shards of Creation, and Stormlight: War for Roshar!
• RPG Playthrough: Come watch a live play of Cosmere RPG team members playing with Mistborn characters for the first time! Join the audience to see new mechanics in action, and a sneak peek at one of the Era 2 chapters of Mistborn Legacy.

None of these sessions are planned to be recorded or streamed, but for those who can’t make it to the con, we will post recap videos on YouTube!

Giving Thanks
